BEING INDEPENDENT
HAS IT'S NEGATIVES TOO



It's Grandad AO. The growth don't stop! So let's get it!

 When you become independent there are 5 things which you need to be aware of as they may each effect you.

 First comes ISOLATION. You are going to be alone a lot of the time because you are able to be by yourself, which you probably need to be so you can get everything you need to do done.

 ACCOUNTABILITY. Where will it be if you are just on your own all the time? There won't be anyone around you to keep you in cheque or to ensure that you are acting correctly. Who will make sure your head is on correctly if you are all alone?

 ASKING FOR HELP. Independent people struggle to ask for help because they are so used to doing everything by themselves all the time. Now when they really need to they either don't know how or they can't because of their pride. they just feel so uncomfortable that asking for help is the very last thing they will ever do.

 You lose the MASTERMIND. This is a concept which I got from think and grow rich. It is very similar to groupthink but it is a positive version. This is when in a group of experts you are able to solve problems and come up with even better ideas by building on from each other's suggestions. Who's ideas would you be bouncing off if you are always alone or never asking people for help.

 FINANCIALLY you spend more. Independent people who don't know how to ask for help,  are going to get less financial help from friends and family. I'm not saying that you should depend on anyone financially but for example, if you wanted to start a business, independent people will struggle to ask their friends or family for money to help them start-up.

 Just because you are independent it does not mean you will suffer from these. Learn how to ask for help and bring people with you on your journey.

Being Independent in University and Life Welcome back blog family.  It's your Grandad AO and The Growth Never Stops .  EVERYBODY NEEDS INDEPENDENCE , especially people going to university. University most definitely teaches people independence by throwing them in the deep-end. Forcing us students to cook and learn how to fend for ourselves. Even force ourselves to go into our most hated lectures at 9AM! But with saying that, you can easily be a university student and not be independent.  We all need to understand that IT IS ONLY US ON OUR JOURNEY'S in life. I'm not saying that we are all alone in this walk of lives or that we don't have people there for us such as friends and family. What I am saying is we are the only ones who go through exactly what we go through when we go through it. WE are the only one who decide where we go on this journey with our actions. STOP THIS!! STOP letting the length of the journey stop you from getting where you want to be. You Do not need to conqor the world in a day, take a breath. Slow down.  So many times when I think about what I want to do in life I think that's it's such a hard and long of a journey it will be.  MLK said “Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase . ” so we need to have faith in order to know that we will eventually get to where we need to be ( the top of the staircase).  Once we have faith in ourselves, faith that we are more than capable of completing whatever we've set out to do.  I'm juggling a lot at the moment at university and its very easy for me to feel overwhelmed with big and little tasks from dissertations, going gym, basketball practice, cooking and the Blog, Youtube/ podcast however really and truly I am going to keep on feeling overwhelmed until I know I can do all I wish to & decide to

HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE Hello everyone, I'm back again. Let me quickly give you some pointers on how to be productive.  Being productive will allow you to get more tasks completed within the day.  So lets get started.  The first thing which can allow you to be more productive in the day is having more time in the day. How can you have more time in the day??? WAKE  UP EARLY Yes I said it. And I said it because it's true. However, just because it's true doesn't mean that it is easy. I've tried to do it before and successfully did for a few weeks but eventually, I fell out of it. To wake up early it means that you have to go to bed early too, and when you live with your friends at university it can be extremely hard if you are like me and struggle with self-discipline.  Waking up early is so advantageous because you don't have many things if anything to distract you.
